Marina access changes

To support construction works, all visitors will enter the marina and boat ramps via Hodges Drive until mid‑2026, when access will re‑open at Boat Harbour Quays. Please refer to the map above.

The coastal shared path connecting the development south to Mullaloo will remain closed until mid‑2026 while underground service works are completed in the southern section. This approach avoids intermittent short‑term closures and reduces confusion.

Marina operations

DevelopmentWA is currently the Interim Marina Manager at Ocean Reef Marina. The Department of Transport and Major Infrastructure has been identified as the future long‑term Marina Manager.

Temporary site surveillance measures, including CCTV cameras, have recently been installed within the boat ramp and trailer parking areas to support site security. Permanent measures will be installed in the coming months.

Visitors are asked to observe all onsite signage related to parking, boat ramp use and recreational fishing. Please note that swimming and fishing are not permitted in boat launching areas.

What’s next?

Vibrant public spaces

Landscape works are progressing well, with paving, seating areas, community shelters, barbeque facilities and planting coming together in two southern locations, as well as in the north within the Stage 1 Residential Precinct. These areas will become vibrant spaces for relaxation and social connection.

Winding paths and additional seating are also being added along the water’s edge, creating places to pause and enjoy sweeping marina views.

Smarter boat ramps

Smart boat ramp signage is expected to be installed by mid‑2026, providing real‑time information on boat ramp availability before arriving at the marina.

Additional signage within the boat trailer car park will also improve the visitor experience by providing real‑time parking availability information.

Easter and ANZAC Day public holidays

The project site will close for the Easter and ANZAC Day public holidays in April. During this time, the site will continue to be monitored with onsite security.
