Immerse yourself at Ocean Reef Marina

A world-class waterfront precinct

Taking shape along Perth’s northern beaches, Ocean Reef Marina will seamlessly blend world-class amenities with the natural beauty of Western Australia’s coastline. This distinctive waterfront precinct will become a thriving hub for recreation, waterside living, and leisure in Perth’s northern corridor.

Picture yourself strolling along the waterfront, lined with cafes and restaurants overlooking the marina. Dine by the water’s edge after doing some laps in Perth’s first coastal pool – a stunning 50-metre facility that may host everything from casual laps to competitive water sports.

This transformative development brings together more than 1,000 residential dwellings, from waterfront apartments to family homes, accompanied by 12,000 square metres of vibrant retail and commercial spaces. More than five hectares of community-accessible open space and recreation reserves will invite exploration, relaxation and connection with nature.

Local organisations will thrive here too, with state-of-the-art facilities housing Marine Rescue Whitfords, Ocean Reef Sea Sports Club and the Joondalup City RSL.

This visionary project, backed by $272.3 million in State Government investment, isn’t just reshaping our coastline, it’s creating a legacy for generations to come.

Perth’s first coastal pool will be a standout recreational feature within the marina. This unique 50-metre pool will cater to lap swimming and water sports, with the potential to host events such as water polo. A recently announced $7 million funding boost broadens the project to include an expanded deck and a purpose-built amenity building, bringing the total investment to $10 million.

A protected 150-metre beach forms the jewel in the marina’s crown, offering safe swimming with shark net protection. This sheltered swimming spot will create a central recreational hub perfect for family outings and beach activities throughout the year.

Children will love the Beach Playground, a vibrant space inspired by the region’s rich maritime heritage, featuring fun play elements like lobsters, boats, and waves. Thoughtfully designed to cater to children of all abilities, it includes practical amenities such as change rooms, toilets, and shaded seating. Centrally located within the beach park, the playground is just steps away from the coastal pool and future shops and restaurants, making it the perfect destination for family fun.

The marina will feature an array of waterfront dining options to suit every occasion. From casual beachside cafes serving fish and chips, to sophisticated restaurants offering views of Indian Ocean sunsets, visitors will find fresh local cuisine in stunning coastal settings.
