The shortlist is in. Now it’s your call.

We’ve narrowed it down to the final eight (8) names for two standout features at Ocean Reef Marina a giant lobster and an adventurous ship.

These aren’t throwaway names. They’re the ones that will stick. The ones kids will call out, remember, and come back to. Pick the ones that deserve it.

Lobster Shortlist

  • Crustopher – A playful twist on “crustacean”
  • Rocky – A simple nod to the western rock lobster
  • Nippy – Subtle link to WA’s coastal “Nippers” culture.
  • Rusty – Drawn from the lobster’s rich red colour

Ship Shortlist

  • Reef Runner – A fast-moving name that captures adventure
  • The Mariner – A timeless maritime name that reflects life by the ocean
  • Wave Rider – Energetic and fun, inspired by the movement of the ocean
  • The Salty Seagull – A playful nod to local coastal wildlife

What happens next

  • Voting closes 21 June.
  • Winning names will be announced at a playground event and rolled out across Ocean Reef Marina, with prizes for both shortlisted entries and final winners.
