Competitions

We’re inviting kids and teens across WA to help name two brand‑new playground icons coming to Ocean Reef Marina – a larger‑than‑life lobster and an adventurous ship. See pics below.

This is your chance to leave a lasting mark on a place designed for play, imagination and coastal adventure.

Submit a name (plus a short explanation) for one or both pieces, and you could see your idea brought to life at the playground.

We’re looking for names that feel fun, coastal and connected to place, inspired by the local marine environment and the thinking that shaped the playground from the outset.

The competition will run in two stages:

• Round 1: Name submissions open (20th April – 17th May)
• Round 2: Public voting on shortlisted favourites (25 May – 21 June)

Winners will be celebrated at the playground launch and featured in Ocean Reef Marina promotions, with prizes up for grabs for shortlist names and the winners.

Entries are free and open to WA residents aged 18 and under.
